University of Texas Executive Education and Conference Center

The basement for the new executive education and conference center consist ed of about 95,000 CY of rock excavation and was 42 feet deep and the deepest point. Ranger complet ed their work 18 days ahead of sch edule.

University of Texas – Center for Nanomolecular Biology

This project consisted of a 12,000 cy 30 foot deep basement. The basement is only 70 feet which limited our use of larger ripping tractors. The project also included an open cut, 30 foot deep tunnel and a tunnel under an existing building. Another challenge was the congestion on the UT Austin campus and the proximity of existing buildings which forced us to use bobtails to haul off the spoil. Ranger worked 15 hours a day to complete the excavation in 40 days.

University of Texas – Biomedical Engineering Building

This project consisted of a 16,000 cy 20 foot deep basement in the heart of the University of Texas at Austin campus. Ranger was limited to using bobtails to haul off spoils and also had to use care because of the students. Ranger completed the mass excavation in 25 days.
