Ranger Excavating is the premier earthwork contractor in Central Texas. Every year, we move over 3,000,000 cubic yards of earth. We have experience working in the clays east of Austin and the hard limestone west of Austin.

Our specialty is rock excavation and we have the capability to rip, hoe-ram, mill, or blast it. No other contractor in Texas has the experience in rock that we have. We view rock as an asset that can be used to construct a solid building pad or excellent subgrade. We do not allow rock to slow us down.

The highly plastic clays of east Austin pose a challenge too. Because of their expansive nature, if the clays are not handled properly they can affect long term performance of a pavement or building. Ranger has the expertise to process the clays to reduce their potential detrimental effects.
